This island- Nusa Lembongan- is off the south east side of Bali. Its very quiet and small. We rented bikes one day and rode around. I snagged this shot of the girl trying to sell us seashells.



The island gets money from the seaweed the locals sell to companies to use in makeup products and ice cream as well as the fishing industry.

monkey business

When we were in Ubud, Bali (December 2010), we went to the infamous Monkey Forrest. You pay a few thousand rupiah and then walk around the forest/ temple complex that all these monkeys live in. It was crazy merely because of the proximity to the city of Ubud. The monkeys were feisty as well- willing to steal things from you as well as jump all over you.
